This site sets no cookies, loads no analytics or ads, and runs no JavaScript.

The only place to type is the checker: the version or website address you enter travels in the page address to the server. A version is used only to compute the answer, then dropped. For an address, the server loads that page, its public JavaScript files and (for WordPress) the RSS feed the page links to, to find the version; the result stays in memory for 10 minutes so it is not fetched again, then is dropped, and is never written to a log or disk. Do not enter an address that carries personal data (codes, tokens).

The application keeps no access log. The network that delivers the site uses your IP address only to deliver pages and to block attacks; we do not receive or keep those records.

If you write to us, we receive your e-mail address, display name and message, and use them only to reply and to handle what you ask. Mail is kept in a mailbox on our mail server, and a copy is forwarded to a Google mailbox the editors use to read it; Google's servers may be outside Việt Nam. Mail that fails sender checks stays on our server only. We delete mail 12 months after the last exchange, and sooner, from both mailboxes, within 72 hours of your request.

The Be Vietnam Pro typeface is served from Rà Soát itself, so your browser makes no request to a third party.
